May Glory Return to the Daoist

To the members of the Eight and a Half team:

This is an outcome none of us wanted to see. But as a nobody, all I can do is offer my most sincere wishes to your team. The world is declining, and people's hearts are not what they used to be. In an era where the space for public opinion is increasingly shrinking, even a voice as gentle as the Daoist's, almost to the point of cowardice, has been silenced.

But please believe that there will always be rational, brave young people who care about the world, constantly absorbing the nourishment of knowledge and turning it into theoretical weapons. They strive to see, keep shouting, and shine a light for their ideals.

In Guangzhou, I once asked the Daoist, "From 'knowledge changes the world' to 'knowledge lights up corners,' have you been continuously losing faith in this world?" The Daoist did not answer me directly, but I think my "leading question" itself contains part of the answer—this is people's observation of the Daoist. I was almost about to criticize the Daoist's retreat into "self-isolation" as appeasement. But seeing that the Daoist is still continuously influencing mainlanders, I am still comforted. Only from now on, who knows how many long nights lie ahead.

Back to "aftermath work": as for the subscription fees for the program, if possible, I would like to pay them directly to your team, and do not wish to let the system that bends to tyranny benefit from it. Please let me know the most convenient way for your team.
